Some of the best hitting advice you can find is as simple as it is old. Nearly sixty years ago, Ted Williams broke it down to three things in his book The Science of Hitting: Getting a good ball to hit, keeping your mind right, and being quick with the bat.
Decades of hitters later, I don’t think you can much better advice than Williams:
